Based on selective review of literature from strategic and information management disciplines, a model is developed to study the SOCs strategic response to globalization. The important issue discussed in this research is the extension to which a SOC's competitive strategy, IT maturity, or size predicts their strategic response to the globalization. A survey. of 122 managers from IT department in Indonesian SOC's to design the variables, were analyzed by using a Multiple Discriminate Analysis (MDA). This study finds that SOC's competitive strategy, It maturity, and size have an impact on the SOC's willingness to use IT investment as part of its strategic response to globalization. GBC reporting some increase in IT investment tends to have a higher degree on IT integration, and working capital has higher an impact to classification accuracy.
