Factors such as birth weight, gestational age, transportation, asphyxia, use of mechanical ventilator, intraventricular hemorrage, etc. influence growth and development. Early detection 'of psychomotor abnormalities include the Denver Developmental Screening Test (DDS'F), Bayley Infant Scale, Vojta Test or Muenchen Developmental Test.
