Summary: | ABSTRACT
Gold mining in Kulonprogo Regency, Yogyakarta Province, has specific health impact to the workers and the surrounding. Therefore, it was a need to do a research on the specific case due to many reasons, for instance the health level of workers, income or productivity of workers and the like.
It is an observational research without any intervention, and this is a field research which used a Cross-Sectional Design in the way to take the data in the field. Total number of gold mining workers was 140 persons and the villagers were 460 persons. Number of sample was 115 persons where there were 26 gold mining workers and 89 villagers. All of samples were chosen randomly. Biotic and blood samples were analyzed at the Department of Health Laboratory, Yogyakarta. Fatherly, data was analyzed using simultant regression method of analysis.
A number of 24.7 percent among the respondents indicated suffering from paraesthesia and 22.5 percent suffering from fatigue
