Summary: | Abstract
Sawdust material which is placed above aslant platform may reduce the radiation which
comes the roof about ]O°e to 12°e (Pradipto,E and Budi, Pr, 2005) The shape and construction
of sawdust Isolator needs to be studied further in term of Roof planning and construction. It was
hoped that common people could install it without open up the roof construction.
Sawdust isolator which is wrapped in planed plated plastic bag with the side of 40 x 50 em
and weight of 0,5 to 1,8 kg, is very flexible in its construction. The isolator which is set up above
rafter is simpler compared to the one which is placed under the rafter. The ability of heat
damping at the isolator which is placed under Rafter is o,~e better than the other one. The
strength duration of the sawdust is determined by the condition of its plastic bag which is very
sensitive toward the weather. The strength of plastic will decline until 48% as it is influenced by
the heat ofsink Roof Meanwhile the strength of plastic fiber will drastically Reduced (76%) ifit
has direct contact with the weather.
