Background: Desinfection dan sterilization in the hospital is vital to prevent nosocomial infection. Environment and medical instruments are especially of important in the occurence of nosocomial infection, Objective: The aim of this study wee to know the bactericidal effect of Medicide and Medicet HC on bacteria present on health instruments and to compare the effects of both desinlectants.
Materials and methods: The design was cross sectional, The study samples were 148 health instruments from Clinical Pathology Installation, �r,Sardiito Hospital, Yogyakarta_ Desinfectants to be studied were Medicide and Medicet HC, each was tested to 74 health instruments. Scrubs from health instrument were inoculated on nutrient agar plate for three times, the first scrubs were taken before the health instruments were treated with either Medicide or Medicet HC and then inoculated to the culture media |
