| Summary: | Natural pherunnena fro Banco* Area, Semarang Regency such as the occurrence of oil and gas seepages. saline water springs and uplifiting of land mass were controlled by geological process of Me area Geological research is important to understand the type and distribution of oil and gas seepages and also petroleum system of the area. The research has been done by field mapping and laboratory analysis.
The results of laboratory analysis- show that saline water springs were caused by formation water contents which is awe out due to formation pressure through the faults. This process also formed the seepages, both of gas and oil seepages. Gas seepages were frond in Bata is classified as thermogenic gas lnon�associaied gas) and predicted came from Kerek Formation or deeper formation.
Thermal maturity of source rock in this researched area was enough to produce hydrocarbon. The presence of the structures, especially. the anticlines, could he act as the traps of oil and gas accumulation. |
