| Summary: | Background: High cost of medicine in compulsory health insurer is one problem for PT Askes as a holding company that holds health insurance for civil servant. It may caused by overuse of health facilities, abuse of membership right to achieve drugs and lack of control for prescription. The objective of this study was change prescribing behavior forward to decrease the cost of medicine.
Methods: This study was pre-experimental methods, in small group discussion without control groups. The intervention groups were the doctors in internal department dr. M. Husin Palembang Hospital. Outcomes were measured by retrospective prescribing survey covering the period three month before and three month after the intervention, then compared the result with t-test.
