description Landslides is one of the most common natural disasters in the world causing large economic losses and casualties. Cibeusi is one of the areas that has a large risk of landslides because it has slope ± 87°. This research area is an area that has many settlements, plantations and rice fields. So, it will have a huge impact on the local population. There are many ways that can be done as a landslide mitigation, but bio engineering technique is the best method that can be applied because it will increase of slope stability by root reinforcement, and it can be agricultural and recreational use. This method uses the combination of bush-mattress construction with wood pegs, log brush barrier, and fascines (bush wattles). Bush-mattress construction with wood pegs are built rectangular to the slope and in contour lines direction consistent of 15 – 20 or and 25 – 30 living branches of Salix, Eleagnus, Platanus e.t.c. Long brush barrier applied depends on pitch of a slope. (Pitch 20% - 50% the distance between them is 8 m. And fascines (bush wattles) use chestnut peggs (length 1.5-2,0 m diameter 4 – 5 cm) are driven into the soil (depth 0.7 – 1.2 m) every 30 cm between them and 60 living brunches/m of Salix Vitex. Based on the previous study, using this combination method it can filter barrier to prevent landslide and scouring of the bank, immediate protective cover for the bank, and reduces toe erosion. So, the potential of landslides can be reduced.
