Summary: | IOC (Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission) provide global continuous sea level monitoring
data. This service involves about 560 tidal stations. This number tends to increase indicated by new tidal
stations recently added to this service. A number of 20 tidal station are located in Indonesia and is
available online under IOC sea level monitoring website.. Since the tidal data can be accessed at no cost,
local government body such as local Public Work Department and Marine and Fisheries Department can
utilize this data for supporting coastal zone spatial planning at district level where tidal station available.
Works related to hydrographic survey, coastal zone management require information of tidal information
such as mean sea level, chart datum, tidal harmonic constituents, vertical refence etc. However, IOC tidal
data should pass preliminary treatment before use due to existence of errors such as spike, outlier and
shifting and data interval. This paper describes IOC tidal data, preliminary treatment and resampling
data
