description | Indonesia is an archipelago country and it has a large areal territory, thus a vehicle that can perform land, sea and air surveillance is needed. One of vehicle that can monitor land, sea and air at once is an unmanned aircraft. Pitch attitude control system of unmanned aerial vehicle consists of inertial measurement unit with a direction cosine matrix method, which consists of three pieces MEMS gyroscopes, three-axis accelerometer and a GPS with dsPIC30F4011 as processing unit and XA-2 airframe. System tests are static testing for orientation angle position sensor readings of the aircraft position from the level position and on land navigation system test. Open-loop motion simulation conducted to determine the natural characteristics of the aircraft and the simulation of closed loop was performed to obtain an appropriate control system with the standard MIL-F-8785C. On land navigation testing showed the system can guide the plane toward the waypoint with 93.0% accuracy when the GPS signals obtained. The open loop simulation result longitudinal motion of the XA-2 aircraft flying at 17,01 m / s and a height of 30 meters that has a settling time of 87.30 seconds. Longitudinal motion control system design simulation produced a settling time of 7.47seconds with a gain value of O.606. Unmannedaerial vehicle capable of carrying loads weighing 2 kg fly the various integrated devices such as various sensors, cameras, surveillance equipment and the like who has the ability to perform various types of remote sensing mission-based video and photos / still images. The mission is to embrace include surveillance, reconnaissance, monitoring, air patrol, air photos and videos of high resolution and so forth. |
