description The research aims to enquire into detailed and comprehensive solution for the possible problems arising from purchasing and selling agreement furniture in Yogyakarta and to study responsibility of effort perpetrator for consumer that harmed either base agreement or law consumerism in the practice. This research is a juridical-empirical research conducting field study and library research to obtain primary and secondary data respectively. The research was conducted in Bantul and Sleman. Respondents were taken using non-random/purposive sampling method. This research concludes that firsly the purchasing and selling agreement of furniture in Yogyakarta is not arranged in written form, because of purchasing and selling agreement of furniture considered as an understandable custom. While note of sale just attest the existence of purchasing and selling agreement of furniture. Its payment mechanism is sometimes in cash and in panjer. This payment system happened because sometimes the goods are ready and not ready. If the goods were ready, the payment is in cash. If the goods were not ready, consumers order the goods firstly by giving advanced money or panjer. Secondly, the implementation of effort perpetrator responsibility for consumer that harmed either base agreement or law consumerism. For damage furniture and mistake finishing (colorsfurniture), the responsibility of effort perpetrator changes the lossby giving service tofurniture referred. While hitting mistake of class quality furniture, the effort perpetrator changes it totality, not with service. Meanwhile implementation of law protection for consumers in purchasing and selling agreement offurniture in Yogyakarta has not been satisfactory yet. Thisfact happened because there is no a written form agreement that include acceptably the rights and obligations of each party.
