In this study we sought to define the inheritance of Pm-Wgene among resistant cultivars PI 371795, susceptible cultivar Action 434, F1, F2, and Testcross generations by RAPD marker analysis. As the result, a RAPD marker which produced the specific DNA bands linked to PmW was shown only in resistant cultivar of PI 371795, F1 generation, F2 and Testcross resistant. However, the DNA band was not shown in the susceptible cultivars Action 434, F2 and Testcross susceptible, respectively. This result revealed that a specific DNA band linked to Pm-Wgene in melon PI 371795 and their generations was derived from the resistant parental cultivar of PI 371795
