There were 136 children aged 6 to 8 years old consisting of 68 obese subjects
and 68 non-obese subjects with matching age and sex consisted of 47 (69.1%) boys
and 21 (30.9%) girls. Significant differences have seen in comparison of formula
milk with exclusively breastfeeding until 6 months of age on the incidence of obesity
in children aged 6 to 8 years (OR 6.29, 95% CI: 4.67 to 7.73, p = 0.007), as well as
when compared between partial breastfeeding and non-exclusive breastfeeding with
exclusive breastfeeding (OR 4.70, 95% CI: 3.96 to 5.43, p = 0.001 and OR 4.86, 95%
CI: 4.13 to 5.59
