Summary: | Speed TCP / IP networks are increasingly fast and become the primary
backbone for an increasingly convergent communications services. In these
conditions of security threats require more open and effective intrusion detection
systems to anticipate the threat.
But unfortunately the existing intrusion detection systems in general are
not effective in use on high speed networks because the number of false positive
that may occur due to packet loss at the time of arrest or processing. Meanwhile,
the implementation of an effective intrusion detection system is not enough to
simply install the application intrusion detection system that is owned, but
required a continuous process starting from the process of assessment, design,
implementation and management.
In this thesis, the problem detection system at high speed and its solutions
will be discussed and the actual implementation process will be reviewed by a
case study in PT Telkom Solo who have been using TCP / IP high speed.
