physical and chemical quality waters, mangrove structure, the benefits of mangrove from timber value, nursery ground and abrasion protection approach to economic valuation of mangrove benefits as well as the use of mangrove by the community. A survey method is used for this research , this research was conducted in coastal areas at Eat Mayang and Puyahan villages, Lembar Sub district, West Lombok district NTB.
The station observation was determinate by purposive sampling method with transect line from sea to the territory. This research found, there are 9 mangroves species from 5 families such as Avicenniaceae (Avicennia marina), Rhizophoraceae family (Rhizophora mucronata, Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora stylosa, Bruguiera
gymnorrhiza, Ceriops decandra), family Sonneratiaceae (Sonneratia alba), family Myrsina (Aegiceras floridum) family Combretaceae (Lumnitzera racemosa). Total value
of mangrove benefits at Lembar Sub district amounting to IDR 1.577.015.247,00 ha/yr. This value represented the intact area of mangroves. The mangrove planting in case to
expand of intact mangrove areas will increase the economic value and provide more benefits. Communities cooperation with the government contribute both in breeding,
planting and monitoring. |
