This research was conducted to find whether the iron sand could be used for fine aggregates of HRS-WC mixture. In this research, Marshall Copression was made to find volemetric values of hotmix asphalt, durability test (Marshall Immersion) by soaking for ½ hours and 24 hours, percentage resfusal density test as control and indirect tensile strength test. The mix was classified into 5 (five) variations with iron sand aggregate : clereng sand ratio of 0%:100%; 25%:75%; 50%:50%; 75%:25% and 100%:0% whose optimum asphalt content values were 7,4%; 7,9%; 8,0% and 8,2%, respectively. The result of research indicated that immersion of iron sand variations for ½ hours as much as 0%, 25%, 50% and 75% produced stability values of 1395,76 kg; 1147,76 kg; 939,07 kg and 755,15 kg. The result indicated that IV mix variations did not meet requirements of minimum stability values as 800 kg. Immersion Indeks value indicated that it was higher than specified requirements of 75%, where obtainable values were 96,13%; 99,37%; 98,06% and 96,14%. VITM values of refusal density produced values of 1,31%; 3,98%; 4,28% and 4,49%, respectively, indicating that use of iron sand still met a specified cavity requirement, 3% - 6%, and result of indirect tensile strength test of I-IV variations were 737,77 kPa; 615,33 kPa; 601,18 kPa, and 547 kPa. Obtainable result of test values indicated that use of iron sand needed larger asphalt content. Stability and tensile strength values of variation in use of sand iron were lower than without using iron sand, but could increase maximum durability and density values.
