总结: | Some research has been reported that there is a relationship between blood pressure and inflammatory process. Interleukin 6 (IL-6) is one of the cytokines that play a role in the process of inflammation and tissue damage that would affect blood pressure. Gene polymorphism in IL-6 promoter 174 G/C effect the transcription and IL-6 levels in the blood. The purpose of this research is to see the relationship of genetic variation of gene polymorphisms of IL-6 174G / C with incident of hypertension. Case-control design Research was conducted with 51 samples of essential hypertension that age and gender matched control group. Polymorphism and IL-6 gene examined with polymerase chain reaction to genotype in the gene IL-6. The genotype distribution for GG 50 patients (98%) in essential hypertension group and 48 (94,1%) in normal group. Genotype GC 1 (2%) in essential hypertension group and 3 (5,9%) in normal group In this study the genotype CC was not found. From the statistic analysis there is no correlation between polymorphism gene IL6 174 G/C with essential hypertension, p=0,320 (95%CI; 0.032-3.184). the allele distribution not significant between two groups with p=0,490 (95%CI; 0.0435.580). Gene IL-6 174 G/C polymorphisms is not associated with essential hypertension incidence in people with essential hypertension studied.
