It is unlimited and enables the users to explore base on their needs. Atma Jaya
University Library Yogyakarta has subscribed several electronic journals. The
objective of the study is to examine the utilization of the subscribed journals and
factors influencing students to use the electronic journals in Atma Jaya University
Yogyakarta.
The theory used in this study was Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) that
is an acceptance behavior model of a user in technology utilization developed by
Davis (1989). Several external factors were chosen to support the study namely
complexity, user training and self efficacy. This was a quantitative study with the
survey. Purposive sampling was used to the sampling method.
There were a hundred of users as respondents. This was a Partial Least
Square (PLS) study to find out the correlation among variables. According to the data
analysis, it can be concluded that students of Atma Jaya University Yogyakarta are
influenced by self efficacy, user training, complexity, perceived usefulness, perceived
ease of use and intention to use in using the journals. The model in this study can be
offered as a model in the journal utilization. |
