According to Erikson, adolescent who has not achive the self-identity process, will become an adolescent with identity diffusion. As the self-identity development process, adolescent also has an experience moral development process, particularly moral reasoning. Kohlberg stated that late adolescent, ideally, have conventional stage � the stage of internalitation values. In some researches, adolescent with identity diffusion, will show low morality, and the contrary also. This study was aimed to explore the correlation between self-identity and moral reasoning among adolescent in social exchange context. Data was obtained from 59 late adolescent (18-24) of Papua and West Papua whom studying and staying in Yogyakarta, Bantul and Sleman. Self-identity was assesed by the self- Identity Scale , while moral reasoning was assesed by Defining Issues Test (DIT). The correlation was analyzed by ANOVA. The study indicates positive correlation between self-identity and moral reasoning among adolescent in social exchange context (correlation on 0.381, p : 0.004 (p < 0,05). It means that there is a significant correlation between self-identity and moral reasoning among late adolescent. This also indicates undifferent level of self-identity and moral reasoning between female and male ( t-test for self-identity : t = -0.134, p = 0.894 > 0.05
