Summary: | The giant goramy hatchery process conducted outside the original habitat.
Egg incubation process is usually done using an additional tool in the form of a
heater to maintain the stability of water temperature. The purpose of this research
is to design and create an incubator for hatching eggs of giant goramy with
heating system optimization in an incubator using a recirculating water system
performance and get the effect heaters and pumps incubation of the dynamics of
water temperature and dissolved oxygen. This research was conducted by
designing and making an incubator made from glass with dimensions adapted to
the characteristics of eggs and larvae of giant goramy. Tests carried out by
adjusting the incubator water discharge recirculation valve opening based on 0,
20, 40, 60, 80 and 100%, and test with fish eggs hatching. The parameters
measured were the distribution of temperature, dissolved oxygen, water discharge,
pH value, added length and weight of seed survival rate of seeds.
The result showed that the best performance of the incubator that created
the opening valves at 40%. Incubator giant goramy hatcheries can work well to
incubate the eggs and larval rearing until the age of 11 days. The economic
feasibility analysis showed that making business incubator hatching eggs of giant
goramy feasible.
