description New local rice varieties could be obtained from genetic diversity through hybridization of plants (artificial crosses in plants). The efforts to shorten the time of breeding and to obtain excellent hybrid in one generation is by microspore culture techniques to produce double haploid plants through the process of embryogenesis. Development of normal gametophytic microspore in vitro can be modified in the direction sporophytic route. This process is known as microspore embryogenesis. Induction of microspore embryogenesis in hybrid rice plants is conducted by pre-treatment temperature stress and starvation medium. Stress is needed to modify the development of gametophytic microspore. This research is purposed to induce embryogenic microspore of rice hybrid trough microspore culture techniques. The materials used were rice tiller resulted from menthik and cempo merah crossing. This research used physiological analysis in order to describe rice hybrid which was resulted from crossing between menthik and cempo merah and cytology analysis in order to know the development of microspore nuclear as well as one direction of variant analysis that was kinetin treatment on 0,5 mg/l
