| Summary: | Bantarkawung is one of the sub distric in Brebes Regency which has many landslide
occurences and cause damages. Therefore, it is necessary to map susceptibility and vulnerability
and to value community preparedness index toward landslide disaster.
The aims of this research were to (1) determine landslide susceptibility, (2) determine
vulnerability of element at risk (people and settlement) based on susceptibility zone toward
landslide disaster, (3)Valuate community preparedness index toward landslide disaster and (4)
analize relationship between susceptibility and community preparedness index toward landslide
disaster.
Methods in this research are spatial analysis for determination landslide susceptibility
and vulnerability. Valuation of community preparedness index toward landslide disaster using
stratified random sampling base on susceptibility zone toward landslide disaster.
Result of this research are that landslide susceptibility in Bantarkawung Sub district are
low (19.75 %), medium (53.18 %), and high (27.07 %). Area which has landslide vulnerability
are Cigunung Orchard in Banjarsari Vilage and Marenggeng Orchard in Sindangwangi Vilage.
Community preparedness index toward landslide disaster is 73.12 %. It can be categoried
ready. Result of statistic test is no significant different between three levels of landslide
susceptibility.
Conclussion of this research are that community preparedness index toward landslide
disaster in Bantarkawung Sub district can be categorized prepared toward landslide disaster. No
relationship between landslide susceptibility with value of Community preparedness index
toward landslide disaster.
