Summary: | The water availability in Cipancuh Reservoir is not sufficient to supply 4,107.35 ha farm land. Therefore, a technical solution based on a scientific analysis to reduce water crisis risk in the irrigation service area is needed. To overcome water provision insufficiency in order to mitigate drought, water use management, scheduling, and farming pattern selection in various conditions are necessary. To obtain alternatives, this research applied the Reservoir Standard Operating Rule to optimize the irrigation water utilization. Continuous reservoir water balance with input of half-monthly inflow discharge, irrigation water demand unit and the reservoir characteristics is then simulated to obtain the most reliable water supply. The decision variable is the amount of farmland to be planted with rice plants
