This study intends is to assess waste management systems conducted by the Air Force
hospital of Dr. S. Hardjolukito Yogyakarta which is limited to solid and liquid waste, to lead on
hospital waste management system that meets the standards of waste quality required by the
relevant departments. By evaluating waste management systems applied, and focused on technical
aspects, environmental aspects and institutional aspects / Institutions. Beginning with the study of
literature, visual observations in the field, quitionary, interviews with hospital waste management
officer Air Force of Dr. S. Hardjolukito Yogyakarta hospital, and comparative studies relating to
waste management in some hospitals, which serve as reference in the analysis of this thesis.
In the case study waste management on Indonesian Air Force hospital of
Dr. S.Hardjolukito Yogyakarta, waste management implemented at this time has not gone well
according to the requirements by the relevant departments, so that have potency to generate
contamination to environment. This is due to the limited facilities and infrastructure owned by the
hospital to support the generated management of waste. Recommendations are given to the
hospital management is to improve and complete infrastructure facilities associated with the
management and processing of waste including human conducting monitoring and evaluation of
waste management has been applied periodically. |
