| Summary: | This study reveals about the authorities of the Liaison Service of Gunungkidul regency to
determine tolls of public transportation vehicle route license and its efforts to create good
governance within cush policies. The occurring problems are both how much the liaison
service possesses such authorities in determining tools of public transportation vehicle
route licence in order to increase the regency�s genuine income and what juridical steps in
order that such wisdoms are obeyed by all existing transportation entrepreneurs.
The method of approach applied in this study is the joining of both empirical and normative
law researches. Data that are used in this research are both primary data and secondary
data.
To cope with the problems above, the government of Gunungkidul regency issues such a
local regulation numbered 9 year of 2000 which regulates the authorities of the liaison
service in determining the tolls of public transportation vehicle route license. The
authorities may increase the regency�s genuine income whenever they are obeyed by all
parties, especially by transportation entrepreneurs. In case of upholding the issued rules,
therefore, the liaison service delegates its authorities to the investigatory civil officer to
optimally increase the upholding of the violations on such local regulation through a
coordinated, guided, integrated, and continual action, so that a good governance is
successfully achieves.
