Summary: | Background: Panembahan Senopati Bantul General Hospital has applied
(PP) No. 23 Tahun 2005 tentang Pengelolaan Keuangan Badan Layanan
Umum (BLU) to improve hospital services. Improved service to the patient
can be achieved with rational drug use and will increase public confidence in
the health system. Because of that the hospital pharmacy must be able to
provide services in accordance with the expectations of patients so that
consumers feel satisfied. Evaluation of rational drug use is very important and
very helpful management in maintaining and improving the quality of health
services.
Objective: This study aims to determine patterns of drug use before and after
implementation of BLU and patient satisfaction in hospitals IFRS
Panembahan Senopati Bantul.
Methods: This is a non-experimental research using descriptive analytical
research design. Sample in this study are patients who received outpatient
services in IFRS. The sampling was by convenience sampling for outpatients.
Results: prescribing indicators before BLU average number of drugs per
prescription 2.8, generic drugs 62.1%, antibiotics 46%, Injection 10%, 61.0%
essential drugs. After BLU average number of drugs per prescription 2.8,
percentage generic drugs 62.1%, antibiotics 46%, Injection 10%, 61.0%
essential drugs. Average consultation time 30,2 s. The percentage of drug
delivered 98.57%. Percentage of drugs adequately labeled 100%. Patients
knowledge about using drugs 97%. outpatient pharmacy services satisfaction
outpatient pharmacy services reach category 4 in the Likert scale values.
Conclusion: 1) Pattern of drug use before and after implementation of BLU
in Panembahan Senopati Hospital were not significantly different. 2)
Satisfaction of pharmaceutical care in Panembahan Senopati Bantul General
Hospital was good.
