Summary: | The satisfaction of library user is determined from the extent to services
quality provided by library to serve or provide information to the user community.
Therefore, quality aspect of library service is the main concern and priority in the
activities of library service delivery. This research is intended to provide an
overview or description of the quality of library services in general according to
existing theories. Description of library service quality was accompanied by in-depth
analytical work on theoretical framework to provide overall perspective or
understanding of library service quality.
The research method used in this research is descriptive method by
qualitative approach. Informants in this study were internal librarians include the
head of libraries, librarians, and staff, and library users including the general public,
students, and students. The data required is obtained through observation, interview
and documentation. Location of the research conducted at Library Education Center
of Yogyakarta city.
The results showed that quality of services in Library Education Center of
Yogyakarta had not optimal, it is determined by persistence of complaints from
library users of books collection which was uncompleted, less up to date or up to
date and not in accordance with the needs of users
