description Background: Performance Management Development System nurses and midwives are the national policies in order to improve the quality of the services of nurses and midwives. Performance Management Development System has five components, one of these components is the Discussion Reflection Case (DRK) is a component of a highly effective and efficient to develop the knowledge, experience and accountability of nurses and midwives.Hospital in Yogyakarta have all the room carrying out DRK, who has been actively carrying out only the ICU. Methods: This study was supported by quantitative research with qualitative case study design. The data was collected in December 2010 - February 2011. Depth interviews were conducted on 18 respondents consisting of the Director of Hospital Yogyakarta, Section Chief of Nursing, Head of the ICU room and 15 nurses who had discussions reflection case. This study used a questionnaire to nurse satisfaction surveys and interviews conducted by the hospital Director, Head. paramedics, kasi. nursing, Karu. ICU. Observation and tracking of documents is also done for the completeness of the data. Results: The support of stakeholders in the form of licensing where the administration of ICU for the implementation of discussion because the ICU does not have room for implementation discussion, funding for consumables and stationery and gift of appreciation to the room that active discussions. Implementation of good discussion in accordance with the recommendations advocated by the MOH is the case presented a clinical case and management.Nurses also felt satisfied with the results of learning through reflection discussions of cases. Conclusion: The establishment of the monitoring team for the implementation of the DRK to think that monitoring can be implemented directly, as well as the provision of material rewards that can increase the motivation of participants.
