Summary:The fast developing of housing industry resulted from population growth causes the increasing timber usage as construction material. However, the growth of forest in Indonesia tends to decrease rapidly. By those issues, it is necessary to seek out a solution to deal with by maximizing bamboo usage as construction material. Petung, a type of bamboo, is one of bamboo type suitable for manufacturing lamination board since this type has a stem wall thickness more than any type of bamboo. In manufacturing lamination board, it requires a powerful sticker or decal and environmentally friendly. The utilizing of urea formaldehyde sticker, in fact, brings environmental damage. Therefore, it should find out alternative of other decal material, which is environmentally friendly. One of it is a decal made from extracted sago by traditional way. In this research, extracted sago will be used as decal material in manufacturing lamination board and it will be compared with urea formaldehyde decal. This research is aimed to highlight how far the variation effect of decal material usage on mechanical treatment resulted from bamboo lamination board that is still maintained outside husk. To find out physical trait and mechanical of Petung, it is necessary to make pre test based on ISO standard. The manufacturing of material test of lamination board is made in two variations, decal variation and board set variation. The total of overall material test of board lamination is 16 sheets. The size of material test for flexibility test of lamination board is 16x140x600 mm, while in flexibility test of board sample and displacement power test on decal, the size of material test is made based on ISO standard. In manufacturing lamination board, the decal type used is urea formaldehyde (UA-125) and extracted sago. The forging process of board is done by two ways, heat forging process and freezing process. Freezing process is conducted by 2 MPa of forging pressure, and heat forging is done by 198 Bar of forging pressure. The test result shows that the variation usage of decal material and board set variation give impact significantly on the value of MOE, MOR and displacement power on decal. The value of MOR and MOE as well as displacement power of lamination board resulted by extracted sago decal is still under MOR and MOE value of urea formaldehyde decal. The value of MOR and MOE as well as displacement power resulted from both decal types on two types of board set is type I gained from MOR value of 104,43 MPa, MOE value of 14.139,16 MPa. Then, type II is resulted from MOR value of 33,34 MPa, MOE value of 2.299,45 MPa. The type III is achieved from MOR value of 42,67 MPa or 40,86% of board type I, MOE value of 4.021,77 MPa or 28,44% of board type I and type IV, MOR of 24, 92 MPa or 74,74% of board type II, MOE value of 1.777,67 MPa or 77,31% of board type II. Moreover, the displacement power of decal line is board type (i) as 3,424 MPa, type (ii) as 0,622 MPa and type (iii) as 0,762 MPa.
