Summary: | Research Background: Hyperglycemic chronic could cause free radical.
Free radical caused an increasing of oxidative stress, reducing the antioxidant,
and an increasing of peroxidative lipid, and the damage of β
pancreas cell. The final product of peroxidative lipid was malondialdehid
(MDA). The damage of β pancreas cell decreased the insulin production so
that it caused hyperglycemia chronic. The anti-oxidant activities of honey,
black dill, propolis, and prodigal broodinging were expected to reduce free
radical, so that they could reduce the MDA level and the amount of β
pancreas cell vacuole.
Research Objectives: to indicate the influence of the mixture of 40%
honey, 30% dill, 20% propolis, and 10% prodigal broodinging to the MDA
level and the amount of β pancreas cell vacuole.
Research Method: Thirty white male Wistar hyperglycemic rat
intraperitonially inducted with STZ (Group 2 6) and six normal rats.
Groups 4, 5, and 6 were treated with the mixture of honey, black dill,
propolis, and prodigal broodinging with the dosage 0,6
