| Summary: | This research aims to determine the development of Rengat City since it
was built in 1874 until 2009. The research used deductive qualitative method by
doing a search for exploratory and descriptive analysis techniques.
The results showed that there were changed in the structure of space
Rengat City since it was founded by Sultan Ibrahim in 1784 until 2009. The
original activity center located on the edge of Indragiri River has been shifted to
the south of the city and caused the area across the river in the North experienced
in a slow development. In the last period, city spatial structure of Rengat can be
described with Multiple Nuclei Theory with two primary areas |
