and human rights, improvement of economy and industry, as well as technology
development.
Raja Ampat has great potential for marine tourism. Seeing the potential that
exists, local governments have tried to do development even though today is not how
large the benefits in improving the welfare and prosperity of the tourism businesses
and local government itself. An example is the development of the WTC beach in the
city of Waisai which is currently all development has become practically useless
because all the infrastructure is not utilized optimally.
This study aimed to identify factors that can encourage tourist visits to the
WTC beach, identify strengths, weakness, opportunities, and threats of the WTC
coast as a tourist destination as well as coastal development strategy WTC a tourist
area in the city Waisai in Raja Ampat.
The method used to identify the factors that can encourage tourists to visit the
beach WTC is by statistical regression analysis of probit method. To formulate the
development strategy of coastal WTC used a SWOT analysis.
The results showed that the cost of visits to the WTC, income and knowledge
about the condition of WTC coast significantly influence visits to the WTC. While
the replacement cost of visits to places no significant proven influential. From the
results of SWOT analysis in mind when the shore WTC has a smaller strength than
weakness. While externally have a better chance than a threat. So to consider the
implementation of the strategy (SW) that is utilizing its existing strengths by
minimizing weaknesses. |
