Summary:This study aimed comparing the radiation doses received of the thyroid on cerebral MSCT and cerebral SSCT examination. Material and method: The research method used is non-experimental observational, in this study were measured only in subjects without any manipulation. The instrument used are Briliance MSCT 64 slice Philips and SSCT Flex Scan T 566 and pocket dosimeter mini digital systems Personal Alarm Dosimeter RIKEN Keiki, SV-7 made in Japan. The subjects were patients referred to Radiology Department of DR. Sardjito General Hospital Yogyakarta for head CT scan between October to November 2010. The patients age ranged from 18 to 80 year-old. A total 98 patients were divided into two groups: cerebral MSCT (n = 49) and cerebral SSCT (n = 49).
