to pay more attention in its management and utilization in order to keep it sustainable.
Understanding some information about mangrove such its changes in composition of
dominant species and in distribution pattern is very useful when we want to preserve a
mangrove forest.
This research aimed to determine what species has turned to be a dominant
species in Alas Purwo National Park mangrove forest if compared with a couple of
years ago and to know the spatial distribution of Ceriops sp and its interaction to
environmental factors.
The research was executed by observing 14 lines which were located, each at
the left and the right side of Segara Anak river (on south and north bank of the river),
started from estuary to upstream. In those lines, observation plots were placed
