description | High level production cost of reference standard can hardly be supported by
a limited budget. On the other hand, the need of reference standards is
increasing in amount and variance along with the increase of pharmaceutical
products sold in Indonesia. The implementation of basic comprehensive planning
system was needed to optimize production. Therefore, this research was aimed
to identify components in material planning and to design material planning
support system appropriate for the BPFI material testing.
To build expert system, knowledge acquisition was conducted using manual
method: interview and focus group discussion. The respondents were population
of people involved in BPFI material planning process, i.e. manager, supervisor,
and staffs. Material planning support system was then designed based on the
knowledge collected. The application of material planning support system in
computer was intended to help non expert to make the list of material planning,
suitable with current situation.
The results of interview and focus group discussion were the information of
components influencing BPFI material testing, i.e. demand, testing capability,
material stock, and budget availability. Material planning support system was
then designed based on those components. The proposed material planning
support system consists of database from several data stock, based on MySQL
platform. Three kinds of reports from the system are: primary reference standard
requirement planning, BPFI material testing planning, and material requirement
planning. |
