Summary: | This study planned to evaluate the implementation of Save the Children
Construction Department (SCCD) project management on rehabilitation and
reconstruction post-disasters of earthquake and tsunami in Nanggroe Aceh
Darussalam whether appropriate to the its target, analyze both of supporting and
inhibiting factors of the implementation of project management and provide
alternative solutions for SCCD project management implementation in the future.
Primary data collection are collected from 26 respondents of SCCD former
employees using questionnaires and interviews.
Based on the variant analysis, the study found that result of scope target
and project time are appropriate to the SCCD target, but the target time is neither.
Meanwhile, 66% of respondents agreed that the implementation of the SCCD
project management is appropriate to its target. Using Pearson's correlation
analysis, both of project management and nine knowledge areas of PMBOK found
that among of those areas which support the implementation of project
management are project communication management, project integration
management, project risk management, project time management and project
quality management. While the inhibiting ones are project scope management,
project human resources management, project procurement management and
project cost management. The best solution of implementation of the SCCD
project management in the future is by applying of PMBOK methodology
effectively and efficiently.
