Description
Summary:Composite resin for restoration is currently providing aesthetic satisfaction and provide a natural result with the use of filler nanoparticles, variation of color and new restoration techniques such as layering technique. Discoloration of resin composite for restoration can be caused by some intrinsic and extrinsic factors. One of the reasons for restoration replacement is aesthetics failure Thirteen sample of composite resin were used in this study. And assigned randomly into 3 groups of different polishing instrument. Group A consist of 5 sample of composite resin which polished with polishing liquid material (Biscover LV). Group B consist of 5 sample which polished with polishing brush (Occlubrush) and group C, 3 sample as a control polished only with polishing disc (Optidisc). Group a, b and c soaked in artificial saliva for 24 hours at 37 ° C. The measurement of composite resin for restoration was performed three times using Vita Easyshade Spectrophotometer. And then, all groups soaked again in 100 ml coffee solution for 48 hours at 37 ° C and measured again with Vita Easyshade Spectrophotometer The results of this study showed a significant difference between the color stability of nanofiller composite resin surfaces before and after immersion in a solution of Nescafe Classic for 48 hours at 37 ° C, which is polished using Occlubrush (p < 0.001). The polished surface of the resin composite using Occlubrush show a significant change in colour after immersion in comparison with before and after a Nescaffe solution for 48 hours at 37 ° C.
