Summary: | This study discusses the maintenance of Province Roads in South Kalimantan.
The first part of the study aims to evaluate the condition of provincial roads with
Pavement Condition Index method. The second part aims to evaluate perceptions of
road users and the third part aims to calculate the estimated cost of road maintenance
in South Kalimantan province with forecasting methods.
The results showed 51 units of sample paths using the Pavement Condition
Index found 12 percent in Excellent condition, 53 percent in Very Good condition, 18
percent in Good condition, 14 percent under Fair, 2 percent in Poor condition, and 2
percent in Very Poor condition. For the evaluation of research results of the perception
of road users by using a variable that is the path of service accessibility, mobility,
security / safety, road conditions and speed traveled, it is known that the perception of
respondents as a society of South Kalimantan has a compatibility with the actual
condition of provincial roads. And the results showed the estimated maintenance costs
for the years 2011, 2012 and 2013 respectively is Rp52.739.480.000,
Rp59.622.110.000, Rp64.565.280.000 with absolute percentage error of 9 percent.
