the relationship of the power of the ruling regime, which was New Order. The
phenomena were indicative of the emergence of postmodernism with its typical
characteristics in Indonesian literature, which was also profound in novel Boma by
Yanusa Nugroho, with carrying postmodernism esthetics in back of eclectic style
and postmodern esthetical idioms.
