Summary: | This research aims to evaluate the impact of ebbtide movement in water
management pattern, to manage (import and export) water as much as needed for
the growth of oil palm, and to improve information about the development of oil
palm plantation on peatsoil land for other researchers..
The primary data which are collected are the measurement of ebbtide water
surface height, evaluation of the land elevation, the thickenss of peatsoil, dry and
wet monts, the rainfall, drainage class, and soil acidity. The Analyses done are
computer simulation using 4.0 version of HEC-RAS program, the analysis of land
appropriateness for oil palm, and the analysis of the impact of ebbtide river
movement in water management pattern in peatsoil land.
The Result of the research shows that there is a stabile water surface height on the
secondary pipe after setting the weir, there for the aeration, peatsoil decay, soil acidity
dan pyrates essence in soil can be controled. Rainfall, dry month, land height, peatsoil
thickness, peatsoil decay level, drainage and soil acidity are wholly adequate for
oil palm.
