Summary: | Terminal Situbondo is a passenger terminal Type B which located in Situbondo CBD,
adjacent to the office, trade, services, education and health area. Terminal Situbondo has
caused environmental degradation to the surrounding areas, due to emissions of gases that are
emitted by motorized vehicles, especially public transportation. Based on that problem, this
study aims to evaluate the ability of green open space (trees) in Terminal Situbondo to absorb
CO2 emission.
CO2 emission in Terminal Situbondo calculated by multiplying the number of each
motorized vehicle type with its CO2 emission in a idle position and when moving. Terminal
GOS capability to absorb CO2 emission is calculated by measuring the biomass of trees and
repository of carbon (carbon sink). Terminal manager perceptions to terminal GOS obtained
via indepth interview, which the respondents selected by purposive sampling method based on
his/ her function, work space and work time
