| Summary: | Eggplant contains of solasodine that belived as antifertility agent. The goals of
these research are to learn the effect of ethanolic seed eggplant extract orally
administration on the quality of sperms and also to learn the spermatogenesis of
the treated with ethanolic seed eggplant extract. Fiveteen mice were devided into
5 group of 3, one group was treated with aquades as control, the 2nd group was
treated with etinil esradiol as standard, the other groups was treated with 0.07 mg,
0.14 mg, 0.21 mg ethanolic seed eggplant extract respectively which given during
35 days. One day after the last experiment animal were sacrificed. Testes were
dissected out. The quantitatif data were analyzed using ANAVA and LSD 5%.
The results showed that the ethanolic extrat of seed eggplant can make sperm
motility become decrease, abnormal sperm increase, and primary spermatosit
decrease.
