of future employment. In Indonesia, the establishment of Indonesia Labor Law
No.13/2003 provides legal base for the occurrences of temporary workers.
Temporary workers have occupying more than half of the employment in formal
sectors. Temporary status were filled with uncertainty and ambiguity, it can
postpone many important live decisions to be made which in result would suffer
one�s subjective well-being.
The research samples were taken from Rural-Urban Migration in Indonesia
(RUMiI) study. Data was gathered from 4 cities in Indonesia, namely Tangerang,
Medan, Samarinda and Makassar.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the relation between job insecurity and
subjective well-being among household head in Indonesia.
The result shows that job insecurity is predictive of one�s subjective well-being.
Adult married men suffer most from the impact. Wealth found to be able to
moderate the relation between job insecurity and subjective well-being. |
