Summary: | Background. Hirschprung�s disease was hereditary disease of aganglionosis intestine,
from internal anal sfinger to proximal to certain segment length, including anus and a part
of rectum. Its manifestation was functional passage disorder. Electrocholitis is mostly
found in the disease. The survey results of about 1,196 hirschprung�s disease indicated
that 56 patients dead (4.7%) because of enterocholitis.
Study Objective. The study aimed at investigating the factors influencing the
complication of enterocholitis and constipation of the patients with megacolon
(Hirschprung�s disease) after endorectal pull through soave operation in Dr. Sardjito
Hospital, Yogyakarta.
Study Subjects. The subjectes of the study were the patients with megacolon
(Hirschprung�s disease) undergoind endorectal pull through soave operation in the
surgery unit of Dr. Sardjito Hospital, Yogyakarta, in the period of January 2005 to July
2010.
Study Method. The study used before and after design to measure the factors that were
hypnotized to have significant correlation with the complication of enterocholitis and
constipation before and after endorectal pull through soave operation. The statistical tests
used were chi-square, t-test and logistic regression test at p < 0.05 and considered to be
significant at the confidence 95%.
Study Results. The factors influencing the complication of enterocholitis after endorectal
pull through soave operation were strong clinical symptom, which was 82.04% (scale 80-
100%)
