| Summary: | This research is research placing The Institute of Custom Public as research
subject. Intention Of This research is to know why custom public is not involved in
every decision making, and knows possibilities of custom public involved in decision-
making processes, finds effort that is must be done custom public to be involved in
decision-making processes. Research area located in Distrik Kokoda Kabupaten
Sorong Selatan Provinsi Papua Barat.
Research method applied is by using method survey by using interview and
observation. This research at the same time wish to know how far space and role
which has been given government to The Institute of Custom as presentation of
implementation of Law no 21 The year 2001 about special otonomy, but in reality
The Institute of Custom Public as a institution of formal has experienced various
problems and resistance that is enoughs. Assorted of social law problem and conflict
has successfully is finalized by using approach traditionally. Example of as in Distrik
Kokoda good cases of murder,suicide, or other conflict can be finalized by the way of
custom. The Institute of Custom Public also stands influences in every policy making
in Kabupaten Sorong Selatan even has not officially is confessed.
Result from this research is : 1). The Role Of LMA in influencing policy
making of government realized through taking part in in musrenbang either in level of
kampong, district, and also sub-province. Position Of LMA in this case is as
representative of public from custom public, 2). LMA also stands is big in economic
expansion in level of district in the case of facility between investors with public and
also governmental with public, 3). LMA in acting it in area to have excess that is can
huddle up assorted of public layer under by using approach of custom when happened
horizontal conflict between members however LMA also has weakness that is has not
been confessed officially by government because still be assumed organization that is
without ceremony especially in Provinsi Papua in general and Kabupaten Sorong
Selatan especially.
