| Summary: | This study uses Sigmund Freud�s psychoanalysis as the analysis tool. The
writer describes the social and psychological phenomenon that occurs in society
life, especially the social and economic life of most societies. Based on the
analysis of novel �Dhom�ir T�ihah� by F�thimah Mustafa, which tells about the
life of story character named Hanafi who has so much sufferings and also has
various of psychiatric or psychological problems and social through his life such
as poverty, ambition, anxiety, love, and hatred. Hence, the author also discusses
the problems of moral consciousness problem and human beings values.
From the analysis can be concluded that every person has their own
personality aspects, i.e id, ego and superego, and these three aspects are related to
each other and can not separated. As for the conflicts that arise in one's self or
soul is the struggle of the third aspect. In addition, conflicts can also be caused by
pressure or stress in a person who comes from outside himself.
As for the results of analysis also showed that the psychological aspect is
not only based on the pressure of the story�s supporting elements, but also other
elements which is related with the phenomenon of human life that is more
extensive and interconnected each other. Since socio-economic conditions give an
influence to a person's personality and psyche of individuals in society. In other
words, concluded that the human�s psyche and personality are influenced by the
interactions factor between the self and environment, both primary environment
(family) and secondary environment (social community), such as the emergence
of changes in attitudes and behavior of a crime or criminal, and can also influence
someone to do either good or bad behaviors. This happens because human beings
have the psychic and social as well. In addition, there is also a moral teaching that
the author submitted from the analysis that sometimes a person is unable to curb
the passions and desires, and to fulfill that matter so that they are willing to
release the humanity, character and morals they have. Nevertheless, there is a
conscious and insyaf and promised not to repeat the mistake.
