| Summary: | Some phenomenons of in the land use changes have been happening over
time. The of land use change that have occurred were according to the
increasement of population that influenced directly to the increasing need path of
land. The Subdistrict of Gunungpati is one of regions in the Semarang
municipality situated at the southern border of Semarang municipality that tendsto
be agrarian. Since it was moved the location of UNNES (State University os
Semarang) campus from the Subdistrict of Gajahmungkur to the Subdistrict of
Gunungpati in 1990, the subdistrict of Gunungpati has started to changes its wide
land use, that was from agricultural land use changet to be settlement and
commercial/service land use. This study was conducted to discuss the wide and
the form of change of land use and to know its influencing factors.
In this study, its was performed the method of digital map analysis and
statistic analysis of correlation. Digital map analysis by use of system of
geographic information that was performed by overlapping map system of land
use of the interpretational results of images in the year of 1994 and 2008 in order
to get the land change. In getting the influencing factors of land change, it was
conducted by performing statisctic analysis of correlation between the
independent variables of land change in the subdistrict of gunungpati in the year
of 2008 and the influencing variables of accessibility distance,population, new
comer, and non agricultural occupation. The applied analysis unit was village.
The of land use change from 1994 to 2008 was occurred in various ways,
there was the increasement and thera was also the decreasement in the wide of
land use. It was increased to 1,311.28 ha (21.84%) for the wide of settlement land
using, and 60.43 ha (1.00%) for service/commercial land use. The decreasement
of wide was occurred 2776.71 ha (21.84%) in mixing platation, 1121.44 ha
(18.68%) in farming out, 74322 ha (12.38%) in dry fielding. The result of statistic
analysis of correlation showed that it were only the variables of new comer and
accessibility distance that influenced significantly to the change of land use in the
subdistrict of Gunungpati, because it was nearly all of new comers wanted to
build the ceaper and wider house there, and in general, they worked in nonagricultural sectors, so that the need of land for the residence area was wider and
it influenced to the change of land use.
