those who are in a weak economic conditions
This study aims to understand the psychological dynamics of the subject in
a way to understand the motivational factors of individuals from the tana 'bulaan
poor in performing the ceremony rambu solo� , the financial burden as they face
pressure events, coping strategies and psychological impact on the tana 'bulaan
poor. The subject of this study is the Toraja people who have been married
adults, aged between 35-65 years old, has or is implementing a rambu solo�
ceremony 'and do not have jobs or low income. This study is a qualitative study
with a phenomenological approach. Research subjects perform as many as four
people who hold the ceremony solo 'perfect level, moderate, and minimal and
seven informants.
Methods of analysis refers to Moustakas (1994) namely: descriptions of
understanding the phenomenon, reduction and elimination, grouping themes and
individual descrription to the phenomenon.
These research findings are: a) the factors that drive the implementation of
rambu solo� ceremony 'is an effort to meet the basic needs of the individual within
himself, namely the need to survive, love and belonging, power, and freedom, b)
The decision of the principals involved to make the face direct impact and indirect
impact of the financial burden rambu solo ', c) In the face of the financial burden
rambu solo' as stressors, coping strategies that do the actors, the main actors of
large rambu solo ceremony ' large, tend to decrease gradually from coping
focused on problem then move on to focus on emotional coping and adaptive
coping than resorting to maladaptive coping. (d) psychological effects were
found: stress, fear (anxiety), depression, (e) the dynamics of psychological of
rambu solo� ceremony actors 'is very complex, as the choice of internal
processes, financial burden rambu for solo' rated the subject as a consequence and
for that they seeking needs the same or different needs are adequate for fulfillment
deprivation of basic needs in theirself. |
