Summary:This study aims to provide information about the needs of labor by sector and level of education in Indonesia for the period 2012 based on the inputoutput method proposed by Psacharopoulos (1973) often called as the inter industry manpower forecast model. The projection results present that the share of employment in the agricultural, mining, transport, and communication sectors is expected to decline in the next year. On the other hand, an expansion of employment in the manufacturing industry, construction, and services sectors is expected. The projection also estimate that the largest increase is for workers with vocational school education.
