| Summary: | This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the volume of Bangka
Belitung tin demand export to Singapore, and analyze the most influential factor.
The data used are secondary, time series from 1986 to 2010, and analysis tools used
is the Two-Stage Least Squares (TSLS) method of simultaneous equation model of
demand and supply. On the demand equation variables used are the volume of
Bangka Belitung tin export to singapore as the dependent variabel, the GDP of
Singapore, exchange rate of rupiah to Singapore dollar, the prices of tin and
almunium in the international market (London) as independent variables. In the
supply equation the variabel used is the volume of Bangka Belitung tin export to
Singapore as the dependent variabel, the price of tin in the internasional market and
the production of tin ore as independent variabel.
The results showed that the exchange rate of rupiah to Singapore dollar and
the price of alumunium affects the volume of Bangka Belitung tin demand `exports
to Singapore, and the most influential factor is the price of alumunium, while the
Singapore�s GDP and the price of tin had no effect on the volume of tin demand
export.
